A Woman Rebels

How cool was Katherine Hepburn? Skateboarding way before it was “fashionable” for women to do so. I always loved that about her. She wasn’t afraid to just do what she wanted and damn the rest. Total rebel before her time…

Trivia:  My mom was in the movie “A Woman Rebels”and played Katherine Hepburn’s daughter in the film. She was found in a casting search in Hollywood back in the late 1930′s and my grandmother told me that MGM studio’s would pick them up every day in a big fancy limo to take them to the set and that Katherine and the rest of the cast would fawn over my mom while she was there working.. Back in those days, it was a huge deal to ride in a limo and be in an MGM movie. My mom has lead quite the interesting life…

    • Katherine Hepburn was the opposite of most women, of her day and my world. She taught me that I (as a woman) I could be strong, smart, accomplished and funny. Thanks for sharing Cindy!

  2. They don’t make women like Katherine Hepburn nowadays, or so it seems. She was an inspiration – a free spirited, intelligent, beautiful soul who loved life.
Your mom must’ve had the coolest experience, acting in the film.
