Sweet Dreams Are Made of This…

 photos: Cindy Whitehead

We paid a little visit to the abandoned Linda Vista Hospital (built in 1904) to do some location scouting this week for an upcoming shoot. In its last years as a functioning hospital it dealt with a lot of emergencies that had to do with gang violence and rumor has it that when it finally closed its doors in 1991, it was due to too much doctor negligence.  It’s been known over the years to have lots of paranormal activity which has been well documented. I willingly went in, thinking all that was kind of a joke, and left feeling a bit disturbed by what I felt and saw, but yet I was mesmerized by the dark beauty of this place. It also didn’t help that I got lost when we first got there and I was left alone wandering the dark, smelly hallways – some with old blood stains on them.  Note to self:  don’t wear flip flops somewhere like that. It’s just gross.

When I downloaded the images from the camera I was a bit creepped out to notice that strange things appeared on the images. You can see an orb in the one hallway shot &  it also looks like the ceiling is “blurred” even though I have not touched that image to enhance it in any way. I also notice a weird face now in the curtains shot…  But take a look and see what you think, and draw your own conclusions…  Sweet Dreams!
